I produced a version of Target Assault for the 2007 DUMBO Arts Festival, using the underside of the Manhattan Bridge, on the Brooklyn side, as my location. It was very successful in many ways, including the choice of location: a fantastic symbol of intercommunity connection and of the city, vulnerable and exposed to attack from below. The climbing figure also animated very effectively against the man-made structure, jerkily making his way up and across the footings and underside of the bridge.
Technically it was difficult, but it provided me with the specifications needed to create a proposal to seek funding to build a bigger, better device for projection, and to propose a series of performances with the new unit. This proposal was funded in 2009 by the New York State Council on the Arts

Features the 2003 version of the VRAG. This documentation was used to seek funding for building the new version: a bigger, brighter, more balanced VRAG with a longer throw.
